One of the things we get asked a lot is “Are you guys busy?” Ignoring the fact that Cat is not a ‘guy’, our answer is invariably YES! Thanks very much to our regular clients – and our new ones – for using us. We’ve been involved in some fabulous projects, most of which are right here on the beautiful Isle of Wight.
Here are some of 2016’s highlights.
Cosmedica Beauty

Dr Kieron and nurse Vicky Cooney opened their new clinic in Ryde at the beginning of January. We were delighted to create their branding and also design and produce signage and custom wallpaper for the clinic’s reception area. We also create their leaflets, business and appointment cards and arrange all printing. We really enjoy working with Cosmedica Beauty, it’s been brilliant seeing the business go from strength to strength. As well as Kieron and Vicky coming to us for regular advertisements, we’ve produced a brochure to help explain the clinic’s various procedures, and also arranged a photoshoot with a talented local photographer. We also created, host and manage the Cosmedica Beauty website.
Nomad

Anyone who knows us will be very aware that we like to eat out – a lot! Therefore we were delighted when local chefs Ryan Burr and Nick Foster approached us to help them brand their new business Nomad. In less than a year, the team has opened restaurants in both Newport and Cowes. We’re pleased to have been involved in this successful venture, producing a logo, printed matter and also the Nomad website which is rather lovely if we say so ourselves. And people, you should eat there – yes, you really should!
The Gambling Man

We already manage marketing and promotion for Level, one of Ryde’s established hair and beauty salons. We were thrilled when they asked us to create the branding for their new venture next door, The Gambling Man: barbers, outfitters, groomers and bar. Cat designed an illustrative-style black and white logo – which meant doing some rather delightful research checking out hunky hipsters. We created graphics for the the shopfront and arranged its production and installation. Our logo has been used for posters and the shop’s merchandise too – we’ve created tee shirts, business cards and washbags with our hipster gentleman front and centre. New website coming in the new year.
Celebration of Craftsmanship and Design

One of our regular faves is the celebration of craftsmanship and design. This annual project culminates in a prestigious exhibition of curated artisan furniture, jewellery and other products. Each year we produce a catalogue of exhibits, invitations, price list and preview leaflets among various publications. The exhibition is hosted in Cheltenham, but the craftsperson wrangling and exhibition management is all done by our client in Newport.
The above is just a small sample of the work we have done this year. Check out our Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter for more from our portfolio. Thanks to our main contractors Sign Company, Solopress, Homepage and Steve Collins for coming along for the ride!
Oh and by the way, thanks to everyone who bought our #Wightagrams ‘Lies of Wight’ tea towel. The first limited run of 100 has pretty much sold out so we’re going to print a second edition.
Happy new year!
